2. Apply to up to 12 high schools (including New Design!) in the Fall
3. Receive offer letters and waitlist notifications in the Spring

Note: If you do not submit a high school application, you will get an offer to the high school closest to your home with available seats

Easy and quick! Here's all you do


Educational Option Admissions Policy


  • In the fall, access your personalized high school application and submit it online with MySchools Open and NYC MySchools
  • Or through a counselor by Friday, December 6, 2019.
  • You can apply to 12 programs on your application.
  • In March, you will get your high school offer letter, which will include a high school offer and/or any offer(s) to specialized high schools, as well as a list of high schools where you are waitlisted.
  • If you choose to not submit a high school application, you will get an offer to the closest high school program with available seats.
